We, the members of ICHC (Islamic Center of Hays County), are building a community and Masjid within Hays County, In Sha Allah. This Masjid / Islamic Center will be for all Muslims regardless of race or ethnicity. We are representing Muslim brothers and sisters living in South Austin, Buda, Kyle and San Marcos area.
Hays County is located on the Edwards Plateau in the U.S. state of Texas. Hays County is part of the Austin-San Marcos metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, its official population had reached 241,067. The county seat is San Marcos. Hays, along with Comal and Kendall Counties, was listed in 2017 as one of the nation's fastest-growing large counties with a population of at least 10,000. From 2015 to 2016, Hays County, third on the national list, had nearly 10,000 new residents during the year.

Mahinur Rahman went to the University of Houston and received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the Texas A&M University (San Antonio). Mahinur started his career as an Internal Auditor of an investment company and later switched his professional career to software industry. Currently, he is the Consulting Director of BPM LLP, a US leading Accounting firm and Oracle NetSuite partner. He lives in Buda, Texas.

Dr. Olla Najah Al-Shalchi received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas with a double major in Arabic Language and Literature and Islamic Studies. She went on to complete her master's degree in teaching Arabic as a foreign language from the American University of Cairo and received her doctoral degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Old Dominion University. Dr. Al-Shalchi currently is the Arabic program coordinator at the University of Texas at Austin.

Samiul Islam received his MBA from Brenau University, majoring in Business Analytics., and completed his bachelor’s degree from University of Sunderland (UK) majoring in Business Management. Samiul Islam started his professional career as Marketing Manager working for The Network (UK), and currently, Samiul Islam is working as a Business Analyst for Amazon.
